I must say I am impressed with this 26 in tener uku. I wasn't expecting much at this price, around 35.00 for the kit. I had just ordered a Caramel Baritone which was awesome but cost 4 times as much. This little ADM uku tuned up easily and settled down quicker than the Caramel. It did have very sharp fret ends from 1st all the way thru 19. I am no Luthier, but have some experience putting guitar kits together and doing a set up. I also have Luthier tools to work with.
The frets were fixed in 5 min using a 320 grit foam sanding block, just be careful on the higher frets and don't scuff the body it's a close fit. When I change strings I'll polish the frets with a fret eraser and do a rounding on the fret ends with a small 3 corner file. Neck is straight and flat and I found no dead frets, they rang clear 1 thur 12, I won't play higher that that. Intonation was not perfect, but close enough that it ok. I plan to put a low G string on it to lower the bright sound some. I have tenor High G on the Baritone so I wanted to have one that contrast.
Body is very nice, no glue noticable. fretboard is dry, but I have some conditioner I'll use at string change.
Included excessories we're all ok. The gig bag was thin, but did have minimal padding so a little more than just a dust cover. It also has a pocket. Phone stand might be ok, but with my eyes, I need more like a large eye pad to be any help. I wish it had come with a finger shaker like some did. Free lessons are available, but no better than what's available on you tube.
If you're thinking about this one it's a winner I think 41 and change then a 15 percent discount.
